Some templates have an additional feature, in the template administration area, called the Header Backdrop. This parameter allows the overall header image to be changed to an image of your choice. As an example the image of the flowers in the Bouquet template can be changed to any image you choose. (See Fig. 1)

(Fig. 1)
To use your own image as a header, create an image in a program such as Photoshop and save it as an optimized .jpg. Please note that each template, that has the Header Backdrop option, will have a header image size requirement. The size requirement for each header can be found in the Template Features Chart on Purple Iris Design. As an example the Impressions series templates require an image that is 945 pixels wide by 165 pixels high.
Upload the image for the header to the Media Manager, located in Site > Media Manager.

Image Path: Enter the name of the image (example: yourimage.png) if it is stored at the root level. If you store it in a directory then take note of the directories name and enter it with the image name (example: stories/yourimage.png).
Click on Save, located in the top right menu. In the Frontend of the website click on the refresh button or right click to reload to see the new header backdrop image.
