Opening Microsoft Office Documents PDF Print
Written by Wordsmith

Have you ever had a Microsoft Word or Excel document emailed to you that you couldn't open? I don't mean a random document or spam but one you were expecting from a known person. It is frustrating, especially if you’re on a deadline, but there is a quick fix.

One example is, if a person creates a document with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or an Excel spreadsheet on a Mac the end tag, .doc, .ppt or .xls is not always visible. Most ISPs do have space for users to host a page or a small website, frequently it is included in your monthly fee. One of the cons for putting your website on an ISP is you most likely will not have your own domain name such as www.yoursitename.com. These free website spaces are normally for individuals and not intended for businesses. So for a small personal site an ISP is just fine.
